Priyashna Mani, age 24, has recently attained her Master of Laws (LLM) from Victoria University of Wellington (VUW). She had received a scholarship from VUW to study LLM. She has also attained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice (PDLP) from the University of the South Pacific (USP). In 2019, she has been admitted to the High Court of Fiji as a legal practitioner. While studying an LLB, she was awarded the best mooter in the finals of the USP mooting competition 2017 and was also part of the winning team in that competition. This was the first time that she had participated in a mooting competition. In the same year, she went on to represent USP in an international mooting competition held in Sydney. In 2017, she was also one of the six selected USP law students involved in a collaborative research project on climate change law with students from Macquarie University (MQ) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT). She has worked as an intern in three different countries during her five and a half years of continuous studying. She has worked for Buddle Findlay in New Zealand, the Office of the Attorney General in Fiji and the State Law Office in Vanuatu.
