Francisca Soto Monteverde obtained her Bachelor in Legal and Social Sciences summa cum laude from University of Chile in 2013. She worked as Legal Advisor (2014-2018) in the Legal-Legislative Division of the General Secretary of the Presidency in Chile, focusing on drafting legislation on planning law, forest management and democracy. Currently, she is finishing a Master in Environmental Law and Policy at University College London, sponsored by a Chilean Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT) scholarship, and her dissertation research is devoted to the examination of different institutional models for developing climate legislation, with Professor Eloise Scotford as supervisor.
