After completing his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Delft University of Technology, Christopher took a gap year and started working at an investment holding company in Brazil. Being fascinated by the complex challenges of the energy transition, he moved back to Delft afterwards to pursue a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Specializing in Energy & Process Technologies, he spent six months as an R&D Project Engineer at a small biotech startup before he started writing his thesis on transporting and storing large volumes of Carbon Dioxide in industrial CCS applications. Next to his academic career, Christopher has several experiences applying his technological knowledge to other fields, for instance as policy advisor in a think tank to the Dutch ministry of foreign affairs. In his free time, Christopher enjoys surfing, sailing and tourskiing.
