Launch of the Climate Law and Governance Working Paper Series

The Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL) is pleased to announce the publication of a new series of working papers on the topic of climate law and governance in collaboration with the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), UNDP, the University of Cambridge and the University of Nairobi.

With UNFCCC COP 22 in Marrakech rapidly approaching, this working paper series highlights central issues for the successful implementation and further development of the climate regime. Reflecting the cross-cutting nature of the measures needed to address climate change, the papers to be included in the series focus on diverse topic ranging from climate litigation, human rights, climate induced migration, transparency, sustainable energy investments, local implementation programs to metropolitan food governance and REDD+.

The series also sets the scene for the second Climate Law and Governance Day 2016 during COP 22, at which leading experts will further elaborate on and discuss these and other challenges relating to climate change.

The Climate Law and Governance Working Paper Series is edited by Dr Marie-Claire Cordonier Segger (Affiliated Fellow, Lauterpacht Centre for International Law & Senior Director, CISDL), Dr Walid Ali (Regional Climate Change Specialist, UNDP) and Dr Robert Kibugi (Climate Change Programme Lead Counsel, CISDL), as a collaboration between the CISDL, the UNDP, the University of Cambridge and the University of Nairobi

The Legal Working Paper series remains open to submissions in French, English and Spanish from academic experts, decision-makers, judges and practicing jurists on climate law and governance on issues relevant for the implementation and further development of the Paris Agreement.
